World Menopause Day 2018 is today - Thursday 18th October and we are right behind it! After all one in three of us in the UK is going through it...

Women are no longer just crossing their arms and suffering in silence. Peri-menopause and menopause is out and loud and proud.

Workplaces are now taking action and brands are doing more and more surveys.

Women are hosting menopause cafe's and sites like ours are providing informative content.

Specialist menopause GP's are cropping up all over the place and our time is now.

It all helps us all.

We have been sent a special survey by Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, that commissioned independent research into the menopause and the impact this has on so many aspects of women’s lives.

Their report found the following:

  • 31% of women say their quality of life has been affected by menopause, yet only 27% of men understand this

  • 48% of women said they’d be too embarrassed to discuss menopause at work

  • 24% of women admitted that they would do nothing at all to help their symptoms

  • One in five women are too embarrassed to even talk to their GP about it

  • One in five women have no idea how long menopausal symptoms can last

  • 65% of women are interested in finding alternatives to HRT

So, we clearly have a long way to go, but we are on the right path.
